JS At Westminster Abbey

JS Humidifiers has recently supplied a
Neptronic SKE steam humidifier with a JS PureFlo reverse osmosis water filter to the Westminster Abbey Museum. The resistive steam humidifier provides up to 20kg of steam per hour into a duct supplying air to the museum. The museum’s humidity needs to be closely maintained to preserve the priceless exhibits on display.
The museum houses a unique collection of royal funeral effigies and other treasures, including the saddle, sword, helm and shield of Henry V, carried at his funeral in 1422 and Mary II's Coronation chair.

As the sediment is removed before the water is boiled, there is very little build up of limescale in the boiling chamber of the humidifier. This also improves the humidity control of the unit with ±1% relative humidity (rH) being delivered.
The JS PureFlo reverse osmosis system is a compact unit that is ideal for use with humidifiers as it can run on mains water pressure and deliver up to 300 litres of RO water without the expensive price tag of industrial RO water treatment plant.
Even with normal mains water the Neptronic SKE can control humidity to ±2%rH as it has self-cleaning heating elements that resist limescale build-up. Also, unlike the more common electrode boiler type humidifier that uses disposable cylinders, the Neptronic SKE’s boiling cylinders can be cleaned. This significantly reduces running costs.
JS Humidifiers is the UK’s largest humidification company with the widest range of products and offers a service of advice, design, supply, installation and maintenance.
