Calomax - steam-to-steam / HTHW-to-steam humidifier
The Calomax™ HT humidifier range operates from either high temperature hot water or raw boiler steam.
It is available in three models with outputs ranging from 12 to 360 kg/hr of pure, sterile steam, depending on input temperature or raw steam pressure.
Steam injection
Steam is delivered to the AHU via a standard, stainless steel steam lance, or a JS MultiSteam pipework may be used where evaporation distance is critical. Short evaporation distances are a feature of the Calomax units.
Water quality
Rated output of the Calomax humidifier is assured irrespective of water conductivity. It will therefore operate on any quality of water.
Water supplies containing dissolved solids ultimately form scale within the steaming chamber and access is provided for the removal of scale as found necessary. In hard water areas where water is softened by a base exchange process, the rate of scale deposit is reduced.
Hygienic and Safe
All parts of the JS Calomax in contact with steam or water are manufactured from stainless steel, nickel plated copper, tinned copper, tinned gunmetal or other non-corrosive materials for maximum hygiene and safety. In addition, there’s an automatic drain and flush cycle operated by a timer which effectively drains and renews the water periodically. This feature prevents scumming and foaming and ensures efficient operation at all times.
